Sony PlayStation implement games for smartphones

Sony PlayStation implement games for smartphones
Sony announced Thursday that a subsidiary called Forward Works to develop games for iOS and Android in Asia will form. The move is the latest Sony console gaming company to move into applications for smartphones, following rival Nintendo.
The first application for smartphones Nintendo Miitomo, was released in Japan last week. But Miitomo is more like a social experience than a traditional game. The application asks questions users about themselves, and then share those answers with friends.
Sony (SNE) seems to be taking a different route. The company said it will offer game titles and which will make existing games and PlayStation characters in new applications. Japan-based Sony has previously dabbled with games smartphone without much success.
In 2012, the company launched PlayStation Mobile in an attempt to bring games Android smartphones. Sony has also promoted a series of Android smartphones with the brand "PlayStation Certified" including a Sony Ericsson phone with PlayStation-style controller.
But PlayStation Mobile could not generate expectations that were expected, and some titles were released for service. The brand "PlayStation Certified" also fell and failed to find commercial success.
Details about Sony's plans for Forward Works these just beginning, but apparently will be the last effort of the company to fill a gap in the field of hand.
